Venue & Booking

Ara and Tanner met while studying in the same college program. One night, Ara invited her friends to a drag show, and Tanner was the only one who said yes.At the show, they met up with Ara’s cousin, Kim, and Kim’s friend Mary. The performance was fabulous & Kim assumed Ara had brought along her gay friend to enjoy the night, but Mary noticed something different—Tanner only had eyes for Ara.Ara may downplay the event, but that night Tanner knew he had finally found the love of his life.

About the barong

For those that may not know, the barong is the national traditional Filipino formal garment often worn for special occasions, including weddings. It is made from a lightweight, breathable fabric that is both elegant and comfortable to wear. Barongs are widely available in the Philippines and are typically more affordable when purchased locally. For those who prefer not to wait, they can also be conveniently ordered online. There are many styles of barong to choose from, whether you prefer a sheer or solid fabric, different base colors, or a variety of embroidery designs. With such a wide selection available, we encourage you to choose a style that you feel most comfortable wearing.

When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that all guests RSVP by November 20, 2026, as later RSVPs cannot be guaranteed. This helps us ensure we have accurate information for our vendors and can make the event enjoyable for everyone.

What’s our schedule?

We are spending Jan 30 — Feb 17 in Ara’s hometown of Kawit, Cavite, then staying at Sefriya from Feb 18 — 20 before heading off to our honeymoon in Japan on Feb 21. The days leading up to the wedding will be a little full, so we may not be able to see everyone individually, but we’re hoping to plan a few small group get‑togethers. We’ve also shared some helpful links with ideas for things to enjoy in the area. We can’t wait to celebrate with you soon.

How far is each location?

— Manila to Sefriya Orchard is about a 2 hour drive. — Manila to Kawit, is only about a 45 minute drive.

Do I need a passport?

Unless you are already in the Philippines, absolutely! This is your reminder to renew your passport at least 6 months prior to flying.

Can i bring a +1?

We’re keeping things cozy for the celebration, and our venue has limited space. Invitations already include partners and immediate family, so we’re not able to add additional guests — thank you so much for understanding.

First time visitors

If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, you’re in good company. We’ve added a short, friendly video below with tips that make visiting the Philippines for the first time feel easy and exciting. Video

Things to do around manila

Manila, the lively capital of the Philippines, sits just a short distance from Kawit & slightly further from Sefriya. If you’re thinking about staying nearby, we’ve included a helpful video below with fun things to explore during your visit. Video

Things to do around batangas

Batangas province offers a lovely mix of coastal charm, rich history, and that easygoing warmth the Philippines is known for. The area is dotted with beaches, scenic viewpoints, and cozy cafés. Sefriya Orchard, our wedding venue, is located inside the province of Batangas, making it a convenient and relaxing place to explore. If you’re looking for inspiration on what to see or do while you’re here, please see the video linked below. video
